If you google the word “brainwash”, the first article that pops up is Wikipedia’s “Mind Control”. The notion has been around forever, CIA and KGB has been experimenting with it, books have been written about it, we’ve seen bunch of movies and so on. But normally people do not think much abut it, unless you are a big conspiracy theory fan. But the thing about brainwash, or mind control if you wish, is that it should not be obvious.
I have dismissed this subject a long time ago as something that is for People who have more time on their hands to think of it.
But a week ago I came across the Russian documentary about American Education system. The film started with the educational ratings and where US higher educational schools stand in it. Not all, but the best occupy the first few spots apparently, like Harvard for instance. Moscow State University on the same rating list is one hundred something. Turns out that Russia has come up with it’s own similar rating system. But even in that one Harvard is in a leading spot again. Moscow State University here has climbed up to the place number 48, which is a very high ranking if you ask me, if you consider all the European Universities and some great ones in Asia, say in Singapore.
But here comes the suspense in the film. Imagine, despite such a reputation of the educational system in the US, not a single American knows anything about anything. I am quoting here. Not a single American. Americans know nothing about anything. Then it goes along these lines: only those who come from traditionally rich families can achieve the highest spots in business and politics. This bright idea was supported with bunch of examples, like this big shot comes from Heinz family and that big one is from Forbes. On the other hand, despite the fact that the US is widely accepted as the land of great opportunities, the poor guy somewhere in the deep country has zero chances to become something in this life. Live alone high posts in the government, where only “golden boys” can get in.
I had to switch off the TV here. Refused to listen to obvious lies presented as a fact of life. To me it was like someone was trying to convince me that sun raises in the West. But I could not stop thinking about it. 160 something million Russians were told that Americans are stupid, while Russians, who have statistically proven crappy education system, by some magic have great achievements in all areas. .
It seems that America has built itself, since people are stupid there, even those who studied in Harvard. And all the rich people there were born rich and, according to the author, never learned anything because they did not have to. Obvious absurd but how many viewers have accepted this as a fact because they were told about it from TV? I personally know so many people who in order to make their words credible, start the sentence with “I read on Facebook,” or “I heard it on TV”. And they are not the most stupid ones.
Since the Russian-Ukrainian crisis of 2012 (i.e. when Russia invaded the Ukraine), Russia has been pressured by the West, a bit harder than before. So the country has turned now towards East, particularly China. The great friendship between these two nations has been remembered again, and great bonds are being created. As a proof, Chinese troops marched through on a Red Square in Moscow during the military parade for a Victory Day this year. The first in a history, and a clue for those who is paying attention.
So this seems to be a perfect time to make sure everybody knows that American Culture, which takes the world by storm, is no good. Tough battle, because now they have to put up the fight against Hollywood America, another form of the brainwashing, which has conquered the hearts of the former communist countries already many decades ago.
